About the Courier / Van Delivery Driver role:
As a self-employed owner driver, you will be responsible for the delivery of parcels to both households and businesses.
Parcel delivery within the Northampton /Leicester area for a leading online retailer.
Maximum parcel weight of 25kg
Routes pre-planned to a 9 hour day
Parcels scanned and numbered in drop order ready to be loaded on to the vehicle
There is flexibility in choosing when you want to deliver. The hours vary by location but we operate seven days a week, almost every day of the year. Delivery opportunities occur throughout the day, including both early in the morning and late in the evening.
Essential criteria in becoming a Courier / Van Delivery Driver:
Full Training Will Be provided but you must have a full UK or European driving license
As well as being self-motivated, well organised and have a high calibre of customer service skills, so having multi-drop experience would be beneficial but not essential.
Minimum age 21
Full UK Driving Licence or European licence with No more than 6 points and no endorsements, with 1 years driving experience.
Physically fit
Good Geographical Knowledge (Not Essential)
Good Communication and Customer Service Skills
Pass a Drug and Alcohol test
Pass a criminal record check
Can speak good basic English
Business mileage reimbursement
Providing outstanding customer service
Following the correct procedures with every delivery, ensure safety and great service
